About Me

👋 Hello! I am Roman Chusov

I am a Senior Data Engineer based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Currently at Semrush (acquired by Adobe), I build the core data platform behind keyword and AI visibility databases — processing tens of billions of records for 10M Marketers . Previously built infrastructure and data platforms at EPAM Systems.

My primary technical interests lie in data products, infrastructure, monitoring, and data quality, with strong backend and DevOps experience.

Indie Android Game Developer

2 Games published ~10K Downloads

Co-founded a legendary “creative group of 3 friends” with a mission to disrupt the mobile gaming market. Inspired by the simplicity (and frustration) of Flappy Bird, we pivoted into the high-stakes world of engineering a viral Flappy Bird clone that definitely didn’t result in any broken phones (we hope).

Engineered two complete gaming masterpieces from scratch using C++, Java, and the Cocos2dx framework. I didn’t just write code; I architected the entire monetization ecosystem—integrating Appodeal and other ad networks and payment gateways to ensure our 1.5 cents in revenue were processed securely. Successfully navigated the treacherous waters of the Google Play Console for global publication.

Technologies: C++, Java, Cocos2dx, Android SDK, Google Play Services, Appodeal.
